Sidewalls
sidewalls was made of 2 parts over and under walls ond where splice together and bolted with 5 long irons. The bolts in front and behind the trunnione
was also used as attachment for the trunnion cover. one had an eye at the top to a gusset.
Breast
The breast was a compact piece of wood that went from the trunions down to the
fore wheel axel. This was inlaid in the sidewalls and bolted with one bolt
in each sidewall.
Røstingen
This is the front of the sidwalls sidewalls
Bunnstykket
The earliest carrier had hole bottom before 1750 to lighten the carrier they replaced the bottom with "røstingen" at the back. |
